John was one of the closest disciples to Jesus. Because of his rough and aggressive character, Jesus called him and his brother James the 'sons of thunder', Yet by the end of his life, John was known as the 'apostle of love'. The Holy Spirit transformed John and changed his desires and his character, just as He can do to us.
