We’re continuing this week with this area of spiritual wrestling. Probably the most important thing to take away from this mini series is that when Jesus allows the enemy to tempt, He does so for our good and His glory. He doesn’t do it to be spiteful or to punish us, God doesn’t punish His children, He trains us and moulds us and disciplines us; for our good. Peter tells us one of the reasons for allowing trials is the testing of our faith; so that may know whether it’s genuine or not. Jesus said many people think they’ve put their faith in Him, but when all is said and done, their faith will be shown to be false. All of us need to know that our faith is genuine and one of the ways Jesus helps us know is to allow the devil and his workers to test our faith.
